Aethir’s December 2024 Events Recap

December has been packed with several exciting Web3 and gaming conferences worldwide, and the Aethir team represented premium decentralized cloud computing infrastructure. This year was a rollercoaster of exciting milestones, product launches, and partnerships for Aethir, leading to major achievements for Aethir, our community of loyal Aethirians, and our ecosystem partners.

Let’s look at all of the conferences attended by Aethir in December 2024 and find out the key topics our team covered in the last few weeks of the year at events in India, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE, and the Czech Republic. 

India Blockchain Week 2024

India is one of Aethir’s key markets, housing a significant portion of our community, with its incredible, vibrant Web3 scene. At India Blockchain Week 2024, Mark Rydon, Aethir’s Co-founder and CSO, joined an insightful panel discussion titled The Role of Decentralized Compute for Next-Gen AI, allowing Mark to delve deeper into the significance of decentralized cloud computing’s role in AI evolution. 

During India Blockchain Week, Mark also attended FIL Bangalore, powered by our partners from Huddle01, where he had the opportunity to give a keynote speech titled How DePIN Unlocks Scalable Compute for Real-Time Innovation, during which he presented Aethir’s decentralized cloud value proposition, along with our Aethir Edge, flagship cloud computing device.

To wrap-up IBW, Aethir hosted a VIP dinner with numerous Web3 builders, industry leaders, and KOLs, during which our team had the opportunity to engage in insightful conversations with esteemed professionals from the AI and blockchain sectors featuring the action-packed Aethir Edge.

Emergence

Emergence is one of Web3's newest European conferences, aiming to become a catalyst for innovation, a hub of new possibilities, and a showcase of the latest trends shaping the crypto landscape. Aethir is proud to have been one of the participants at the first edition of Emergence this year in Prague, bringing our vision of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient decentralized cloud computing closer to Web3 enthusiasts in Europe. Aethir’s Co-founder and CEO, Dan Wang, attended Emergence and joined the DePIN: How Crypto Is Coming to the Real World panel alongside colleagues from Kadena, DIMO, and Arcium. Dan explained how Aethir’s decentralized GPU cloud model supports real-world utility in the AI and gaming sectors, supporting innovative platforms that enhance the everyday experiences of users worldwide while leveraging Web3 technology. 

Taipei Blockchain Week

Taipei Blockchain Week was the last major Web3 event in Southeast Asia in 2024, and Aethir’s team was there to promote decentralized GPU computing at its finest. Aethir’s Mark Rydon joined the AI Meets Web3: Smarter Onboarding for the Decentralized Future panel and discussed the role of decentralized computing for the intersection of AI and Web3 development, along with colleagues from iAgent, Chainbase, and OpenGradient. 

Our Product Lead, Kieran Yi Moon participated in a panel discussion called Reimagining Products in the Web3 Era, where he had the pleasure of discussing the innovative potential and challenges of Web3 product design with representatives of Circle and Orca. Additionally, Aethir’s Events Lead, Rinnie Chuang had the opportunity to moderate an exciting panel called The Future of Work: AI, Blockchain, and Innovation in Decentralized Systems. 

We also co-hosted the AI x Crypto Insight with Gata, VeraBridge, BitRush, RootData, and Blockchain of the day, where we engaged in deep conversations on innovation, collaboration, and the future of Web3 technology.

Additionally, we organized a lunch event with our partners from Aya, uniting Web3 and AI visionaries in an intimate setting to connect with founders, investors, and industry leaders shaping the decentralized future. Finally, we closed Taipei Blockchain Week with an exclusive afterparty at KOR, one of Taipei's premier nightlife destinations.

AI Summit Seoul 2024

Aethir’s co-founder, Mark Rydon attended AI Summit Seoul 2024 to talk about Aethir’s role in supporting the evolution of AI development with decentralized cloud computing infrastructure. Mark had the pleasure of diving into the future of computing infrastructure in the AI industry, focusing on Aethir’s decentralized GPU value proposition and its capability of powering the most advanced AI workloads, such as AI agent development and LLM training.

Abu Dhabi Finance Week

At Abu Dhabi Finance Week, one of the key annual events in the MENA region, our co-founder and CEO, Dan Wang, signed a partnership agreement with The Blockchain Center Abu Dhabi (ADBC) to supercharge AI and gaming development through Aethir’s $100 Million Ecosystem Fund.

GamesBeat Insider Series VIP Dinner

GamesBeat Insider Series is an exciting one-day event powered by VentureBeat and focused on the convergence of film, music, TV, and gaming. With gaming being a key sector for Aethir’s decentralized cloud infrastructure, our gaming team, led by Paul Thind, Aethir’s Chief Revenue Officer, attended the conference, which saw nine dynamic panel sessions with 24 speakers from across the entertainment industry. As part of Aethir’s participation in the event, we organized a VIP dinner with GamesBeat, attended by Dean Takahashi, GamesBeat’s lead writer, and numerous C-suite colleagues and partners from the Web2 and Web3 gaming industries.
