Aethir is integrating LayerZero to become a Multichain AI and Gaming Ecosystem
Aethir’s GPU infrastructure includes over 43,000 top-quality GPUs, 3000+ NVIDIA H100s for advanced AI workloads, and more than 32,000 globally distributed Aethir Edge cloud computing devices. The Aethir cloud computing ecosystem is powered by ATH, our native token, which plays a key role in the Aethir DePIN stack as the currency used to purchase compute power. Furthermore, Aethir Checker Nodes, Aethir Edge device operators, ATH stakers, and Cloud Hosts are rewarded with ATH tokens for their services. With the expansion of Aethir’s GPU cloud infrastructure, we are addressing the need for cross-chain versatility to empower our stakeholders with access to a wider range of ecosystem services. For this reason, we are partnering with LayerZero, a leader in omnichain solutions, to help introduce multichain features to the Aethir DePIN stack and aid us in migrating to the Sophon ZK chain.
LayerZero’s technology enables applications to move data across blockchains, uniquely supporting censorship-resistant messages and permissionless development through immutable smart contracts. The LayerZero network is a verification agnostic transport layer that enables smart contracts on different blockchains to interoperate. It is a fully connected mesh network that is not bound to any infrastructure or blockchain. LayerZero is an omnichain protocol enabling developers to build unified applications with modular security parameters. Using LayerZero, developers can send arbitrary messages across chains while preserving complete control over their application’s security. The network enables developers to create and configure unified applications, tokens, and data primitives, regardless of blockchain.
Aethir’s cloud computing ecosystem includes dozens of major AI and gaming enterprises that leverage Web3 technology in their daily operations across various blockchains. With the help of LayerZero, Aethir’s DePIN stack will transition to a multichain network infrastructure, which will ease the Aethir GPU infrastructure’s upcoming migration to Sophon’s ZK chain. As part of the ATH migration test phase, our ATH token will be available on ZKsync as an Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT). LayerZero’s omnichain technology will secure a smooth transition of ATH token rewards for Checker Nodes and Aethir Edge operators from the Arbitrum L2 network to Sophon while maintaining network stability and ensuring a frictionless experience for the Aethir community.
Furthermore, Aethir will utilize the Stargate omnichain liquidity protocol as a blockchain bridge to empower users with easy cross-chain swaps of ATH tokens. We are working on numerous technical integrations to improve user experience in all segments of the Aethir GPU infrastructure. With Stargate, users and dApps can transfer native assets cross-chain while accessing the protocol’s unified liquidity pools with instant guaranteed finality. A transfer submitted on the source chain through Stargate is guaranteed at the destination. The protocol also offers a wide variety of staking, farming, and liquidity pool features that contribute to its stability, which is a key reason why Aethir chose Stargate for cross-chain ATH transactions.
